Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while actively developing new business connections.

  • Attend daily and weekly Commercial Meetings to ensure proper alignment and communication.

  • Manage tendering activities, including resolving complaints and disputes through negotiated agreements; ensure compliance with all technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements in RFQs.

  • Maintain and update Inquiry Masterlist, Quotation Masterlist, Subcontractor Masterlist, QS Server Folder, and ERP system records.

  • Prepare and coordinate handover documentation for awarded tenders.

  • Provide timely updates during Weekly Integrated Meetings.

  • Review and endorse Purchase Orders (PO) and Work Orders (WO) raised by SCM.

  • Assist in sourcing, selecting, and evaluating subcontractors together with the Operations team.

  • Support preparation of change orders during the construction stage.

  • Assist in compiling service reports requested by the Operations team.

  • Perform other ad-hoc responsibilities as delegated by the Commercial Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent.

  • Additional certifications in contract management, procurement, or project management (e.g., MRICS, PMP) are an advantage.

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in commercial, contracts, or tendering roles, preferably within construction, marine, or oil & gas sectors.

  • Hands-on experience managing RFQs, tenders, purchase orders, and subcontractor processes.

  • Knowledge of project handover procedures and cost management during construction.

  • Strong grasp of tendering procedures, contractual terms, and commercial negotiations.

  • Skilled in preparing, reviewing, and submitting quotations, proposals, and contractual documents.

  • Understanding of procurement practices, including subcontractor sourcing and evaluation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to foster and maintain professional relationships with clients and subcontractors.

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, particularly in managing disputes and complaints.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and systematic in handling commercial documentation and data.

  • Capable of multitasking, meeting deadlines, and contributing effectively in cross-functional meetings.
