  • Looking for an energetic and proactive Commercial Executive.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the negotiation and execution of contracts related to vessel chartering and sales/purchases.
  • Your main objective will be to maximize profitability while maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners in the maritime sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and offering customized solutions to meet their expectations.
  • Chartering Operations: Assist in the negotiation of charter party agreements, fixing vessels, and ensuring adherence to all terms and conditions.
  • Market Research: Keep abreast of market trends, including charter rates, vessel availability, and industry developments, to provide strategic insights to internal teams.
  • Sales and Marketing: Support sales and marketing initiatives by identifying potential clients, preparing proposals, and participating in business development efforts.
  • Contract Negotiation: Aid in the negotiation of contract terms with clients, securing favorable outcomes for the company while meeting the needs of all parties involved.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with chartering and sale/purchase transactions, protecting the company’s interests.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure the seamless execution of commercial activities and alignment with overall business goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience in commercial roles within the maritime industry, ideally in shipbroking or chartering, is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles and practices in shipping, including charter parties, freight rates, and vessel operations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant industry software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
