Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Independent handling, investigation and processing of cargo claims from first notice to final settlement.
  • Efficiently manage a portfolio of cargo claims.
  • Maintain and update claim files for comprehensive records.
  • Respond timely to internal and external inquiries for information relative to claims.
  • Appoint surveyors and decide on appropriate course of action when necessary.
  • Communicate claim action /processing with claimants, clients and relevant parties.
  • Providing coverage opinions to Principals.
  • Identify notification issues, coordinates resolutions and takes corrective actions as needed.
  • Execute duties in accordance with the company’s claim procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of claims with meticulous attention to details, particularly the skills to identify inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data output.

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar field dealing with Cargo Claims.
  • Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to provide consistent customer service both internally and externally.
  • Team player, positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
