Job Description
Responsibilities
- Independent handling, investigation and processing of cargo claims from first notice to final settlement.
- Efficiently manage a portfolio of cargo claims.
- Maintain and update claim files for comprehensive records.
- Respond timely to internal and external inquiries for information relative to claims.
- Appoint surveyors and decide on appropriate course of action when necessary.
- Communicate claim action /processing with claimants, clients and relevant parties.
- Providing coverage opinions to Principals.
- Identify notification issues, coordinates resolutions and takes corrective actions as needed.
- Execute duties in accordance with the company’s claim procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of claims with meticulous attention to details, particularly the skills to identify inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data output.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar field dealing with Cargo Claims.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide consistent customer service both internally and externally.
- Team player, positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
