Job Description

  • Drive business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities across maritime services such as ship management, agency, and related solutions
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to expand client portfolio and strengthen market presence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, operators, charterers, and other industry stakeholders
  • Identify client needs and propose tailored service solutions aligned with operational and commercial objectives
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements with clients
  • Collaborate with internal operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of services
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, presentations, and business reports
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting of business development activities
  • Support cross-selling of integrated maritime services across different business units
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery standards

✅ Requirements

  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Shipping, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, commercial, or sales roles within the maritime or shipping industry
  • Proven track record in securing new business and managing client relationships in ship management, agency, or marine services
  • Strong understanding of the maritime industry, including vessel operations, port agency, and commercial shipping practices
  • Established network within shipowners, operators, or maritime stakeholders is highly advantageous
  • Experience in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and commercial structuring
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work across multicultural and international environments
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, reporting, and pipeline management
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, port visits, and industry events
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
