Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage team by providing guidance and support, identifying and addressing roadblocks, and fostering a sense of shared accountability to achieve shared goals
- Strategically procure containers and optimize their lifecycle management to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations
- Handle container procurement and delivery management and container procurement negotiation
- Oversee container production schedule and handle container delivery coordination to achieve on-time delivery
- Handle lease portfolio optimization including lease expiration management, portfolio optimization, contract analysis, process improvement, data analysis, and record keeping
- Keep track of financial operational performance including budget management, performance monitoring and reporting, as well as compliance and risk management
- Manage improvement on business process and system development
- Manage ad-hoc tasks and assignments as delegated by the Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields
- Liner shipping experience in managing container procurement or related field highly advantageous
- Proficient in Google Workspace tools (Sheets/Docs/Slides) and MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with multicultural teams and internal/external parties
- Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, manage time and deadlines, and multi-task effectively
- Detail-oriented, able to identify and analyze problems, develop solutions and make sound decisions
- Able to manage and motivate teams effectively
- Continuously open to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to enhance business processes
- Experience in data tools such as Tableau and Looker preferred
