Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Compile supporting schedules and liaise with auditors and tax agents for audits, filings, and submissions.
- Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
- Handle bank postings, reconciliations, payments, journal entries, and maintenance of financial schedules.
- Administer GST filings, submissions, and claims in accordance with Singapore regulations.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Assess foreign exchange exposure and support hedging strategies where required.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Track actual performance against budget and prepare variance analysis with actionable insights.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance matters.
- Set KPIs for the finance team and ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs.
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and results orientation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and identify cost efficiencies.
- Support ad-hoc finance duties and special projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, ideally within the marine, offshore, or engineering industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, GST, and tax laws.
- Proficient in ERP accounting systems;Â SAP experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently while effectively managing team and stakeholder expectations.
