Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Compile supporting schedules and liaise with auditors and tax agents for audits, filings, and submissions.
  • Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
  • Handle bank postings, reconciliations, payments, journal entries, and maintenance of financial schedules.
  • Administer GST filings, submissions, and claims in accordance with Singapore regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Assess foreign exchange exposure and support hedging strategies where required.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Track actual performance against budget and prepare variance analysis with actionable insights.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance matters.
  • Set KPIs for the finance team and ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and results orientation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and identify cost efficiencies.
  • Support ad-hoc finance duties and special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, ideally within the marine, offshore, or engineering industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, GST, and tax laws.
  • Proficient in ERP accounting systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while effectively managing team and stakeholder expectations.
