Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining theĀ full set of accounts for an overseas subsidiary, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local VAT regulations, and timely month-end closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices and employee expense claims for the overseas subsidiary, ensuring tax invoices comply with VAT regulations and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and process invoice and claim payments according to scheduled payment cycles, including ad-hoc or urgent payments when required.
  • Raise Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices promptly upon receipt of complete supporting documentation from internal stakeholders.
  • Follow up with customers on outstanding AR balances to ensure timely collection.
  • Maintain daily updates of the cashbook, monitor cash flow movements, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare cash utilisation reports for submission to the Group.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for selected accounts.
  • Compile and prepare quarterly VAT reports for submission.
  • Review and follow up on outstanding balance sheet items such as GRIR and other reconciling items.
  • Register vendors and customers in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Assist in annual audit activities and respond to audit-related queries.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance tasks, including responding to VAT-related queries.
  • Prepare ad-hoc payments or fund transfers for Singapore entities when required.
  • Support month-end AP reclassification entries for Singapore entities.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or above (Polytechnic / LCCI / ACCA Foundation level or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably handling full sets of accounts.
  • Proficient inĀ Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience withĀ SAPĀ or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
