- Establishing new and maintaining existing relationship with Vessel Owners, Vessel Managers, Technical Officers, and Purchasers.
- Preparing and conducting Technical Sales Presentation for clients.
- Negotiating tender and contract terms.
- Traveling to visit Prospects to conduct Product Introduction and Presentations.
Preparing quotations and final costings. - Providing timely feedback to senior management regarding market conditions and customers.
- Actively involved in purchase of various Products/Equipments /Spare Parts from Singapore as well as other countries.
- Doing vendor and supplier assessment as well as negotiating with them for any given enquiry to get the best discount from them.
- Ensuring that the procurement is carried out from reliable and certified suppliers.
- Actively involved in the complete audit cycle of all classification societies, namely, NKK/DNV-GL/LR/ABS/BV etc. for our Workshop/Laboratory.
- Building strong relationship with both business partners. (Suppliers as well as customers).
- Sourcing for enquiries sent by customers promptly and efficiently.
- Finalizing vendor and placing orders, prepare purchase orders, Vender documents, co-ordination with suppliers for timely delivery of material, confirming from site people about proper delivery of materials.
Accomplishments:
- Brought a complete turnaround in the business model of the company i.e. elevated the business operating model from Tier 2 to Tier 1 whereby increasing the profit margins by almost 15-20%.
- Improved the purchase process in our company which led to a reduction of almost 10% of our buying cost in just three months.
