About me
I have been working in Operations department of a leading container shipping company based in Singapore for past 3 years. I have gathered an extensive sailing experience of 12 years on board container ships rising to the rank of Chief Officer before moving ashore.
In my previous role, I oversaw safe and efficient operations of all the ships in the fleet which included providing timely weather warnings, Tropical Storm broadcasts and engaging with the Master to discuss the choice of routing for safest operation during heavy weather. I have supported the fleet with route optimization in order to which has contributed in significantly reducing bunker consumption by choosing the most optimal routes. I was also in charge of vessel tracking systems and maintaining and developing decision making tools such as cross track and passage plan upload features to ensure multiple shore teams can track our fleet and take informed decisions during contingencies as and when required. In addition, I liaised with the vessels for security related tasks to ensure compliance with company’s procedures and supported testing and maintenance on security equipment onboard.
