Job Detail
Job Description
- Liaise with Managers/ Superintendents for prompt supply of technical spare parts or vsl repair jobs or annual services.
- Handle purchasing activities as well as arranging logistics to connect the spares to the vessels.
- Tally accounts and issue PO to vendor.
- Send enquiry/ requisitions to suppliers for owner’s asset purchases and as required.
- Liaise with vessels on any information required pertaining to requisitions.
- Follow up with quotations from suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and delivery orders/ proforma invoices/ packing lists, etc.
- Assist in logistics arrangement (air freight/ sea freight/ land transport/ sea transport)
- Liaise with agents and ships for the supply of spare parts and repair services to vessels at convenient ports.
- Document filing/printing of invoices.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/ Superintendents/Line manager.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Handling inquiries of vessel repairs/ services/ technical supplies worldwide as required and guided by Supt.
- Provide delivery note/ proforma invoice/ packing list to the vendor for delivery.
- Assist in logistics arrangement (air freight/ sea freight/ land transport/ sea transport)
- Document filling/ verifying vendors’ costs/ take approvals for added costs from clients and submit to accounts to raise the invoices for the completed jobs.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma/ or its equivalent.
- With at least 6 Months -1-year’s working experience preferably in Shipping Industry/Marine Repair Companies.
