Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Calculate slot and space requirements to effectively manage capacity.
- Optimize vessel stowage to maximize utilization, ensure optimal sailing conditions, and boost productivity at loading and discharging ports.
- Meet maximum crane split requirements at each port of call.
- Ensure proper segregation and stowage of special cargo in compliance with the international IMDG Code and in-house regulations.
- Plan vessel stowage, create berths, and make berth adjustments.
- Advise global terminals on stowage issues.
- Coordinate early berth arrangements with Terminal Managers.
- Provide guidance and instructions to port agents.
- Support Trade, Sales, and Customer Service in all operational matters.
- Develop coastal schedules with recovery plans for vessels behind the proforma schedule.
- Ensure the Master adheres to the advised speed based on the schedule.
- Handle daily operational requests, including Change of Destination (COD) and partner speed adjustments.
- Allocate slots for Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo.
- Approve OOG, Dangerous Goods, and flexi-tank cargo.
- Estimate round voyage costs.
- Monitor bunker consumption of vessels, both in port and at sea.
- Track the number of cranes provided by agents at each port.
- Ensure timely submission of all vessel reports.
- Promptly manage and resolve operational matters.
- Ensure accurate local billing and recover claims as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics & Supply Chain, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience.
- Knowledge and experience working with Seacos/Macs3.
- Experience in planning vessels with multiport loading.
- Conversant with IMDG Code and Port Net
- Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables.
- Experience in cargo planning.
